Youth Mark Assessors Think IARS Deserves a Silver Youth Mark Award

Independent Academic Research Studies (IARS) a youth-led social policy think-tank has been awarded a Silver Youth Mark award.

IARS was set up in 2001 to empower and give voice to young people so that they can influence policy and democratically engage in society as equal citizens. 

The assessment was carried out by a group of 3 Youth Mark Assessors (young people aged 15-18) between October 2009 and March 2010.  The assessment involved interviews with 15 young people, 6 staff members and observations of activities including focus groups and the Youth Advisory Group.
