How does it work?

Y-gen staff enter basic information onto our database gathered from provider publicity, usually information from a published course prospectus, activity programme or website. 

Up-to-date information is not always available due to recent changes, so our field researchers collect additional information direct from learners & providers.

Y-gen tries to ensure that the content of the online resource is independent & impartial.  We will amend the content depending on what we find via fieldwork. 

We also try to provide up-to-date & accurate specialist information that won't be available elsewhere including service user comments which offer an insight into the quality of provision.

We will add additional information on various aspects of provision as we become aware of them such as:

- accessibility

- places available

- costs

- completion rates

- retention rates

- demand analysis
