Raise the Charity’s Profile and Develop New Markets 

  • Implement a communications and marketing strategy.
  • Promote Y-gen as a competent and commercial company. 
  • Exploit the IAG market and explore new markets. 
  • Exploit new opportunities based on an objective appraisal of costs and benefits. 
  • Conduct further market analysis to identify whether any new ventures are justified. 
  • Conduct additional networking and promotional activities. 

Bring in New Business 

  • Generate new income streams. 
  • Prepare successful bids and proposals for contract work. 
  • Create a new post to evaluate ideas & gaps in market, lead on funding bids and initiate new projects. 
  • Speed up bid review and preparation processes.  
  • Focus resources on bidding for contracts and project work where margins are high.
  • Develop smaller contracts with providers via direct delivery of IAG services. 
  • Enable the company to cover its overheads and break even. 
  • Develop and sell products in higher volume to a broader customer base. 
  • Create new partnerships governed by clear agreements and close monitoring.
  • Disclose and share only that which is necessary to win business and maintain shared service delivery.   

Engage Effectively with Young People 

  • Involve young people in the design, delivery and evaluation of services.
  • Use a person centred approach in supporting young people. 

Invest in the Continuous Professional Development of our Staff 

  • Develop a culture of promoting and selling services.  
  • Focus staff on selling the company and bringing in new business.
  • Provide bespoke and ‘on the job’ training and development in income generation and sales. 
  • Provide training and support in balancing partner cooperation with competitor discretion.  
  • Maintain a professional approach in finding solutions to individual challenges. 
  • Introduce new workplace routines to draw on the experience & skills of existing staff. 
  • Enable staff to act as a high performing team.
  • Maintain commitment to staff professional & personal development.
  • Invest in valuing staff and maintaining a positive company ethos. 
  • Develop staff through a coaching approach.

Demonstrate High Performance     

  • Deliver services against performance targets.
  • Deliver services within budget and demonstrate value for money. 
  • Ensure that the quality of service provided is continuously improved.
  • Deliver the service to national quality standards. 

Ensure Effective Corporate Governance 

  • Continue to maintain good governance within Y-gen. 
  • Enable Trustees to function effectively as a team in support of agreed corporate governance objectives. 
  • Continue to maintain sound financial management.
