Opportunities Resource for Young People with Special Educational Needs!

The opportunities resource is;

• The only directory specialising in provision for young people with LDD/SEN
  
• The only directory where both providers and courses are listed
  
• The only directory which also includes leisure and recreational activities, day opportunities, personal development and supported employment information.

The opportunities resource is primarily designed to assist professionals within local authorities, schools and social services in their work with young people and parents. It is also suitable for parents and family members of someone with LDD as well as young people themselves. It holds information on all relevant providers and courses in one directory so making searching much quicker.

As we continue our development of the opportunities resource we hope to gather comparable information across provision, firstly with the use of online questionnaires. The information collected will form part of the database with the aim of supporting advisers, parents and learners to make informed decisions during their search for post-16 opportunities.

If you complete our questionnaire we will be able to include your provision in an accurate way.

Please feel free to send us any additional information which you think is valuable to prospective learners/ young people so that we can include this in our resource. The questionnaire should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.

There are separate questionnaires for learning providers, course organisers and organisers of day opportunities. Please read below to find which is suitable for your provision.

• Providers - This questionnaire is for educational providers who offer courses/programmes for learners aged 16+, specifically including young people with special educational needs (SEN).
